In 2024, I went to Disneyland Paris with a two and four year old. Since the trip, people have asked me my opinion on different things about visiting Disneyland Paris. The most recent being, “how many days do you need at Disneyland Paris with young kids?”

My trip to Disneyland Paris 2024
We went to Disneyland Paris for two days. We spent a total of three nights away.
The first night we traveled to family in Paris and slept over. We woke early the next day and got the train to Chessy to be at the park gates for 10 am.
We stayed over at the Disneyland hotel for one night and spent the next day in the park, too.
At the end of the final day, we travelled back to Paris to sleep, then got the Eurostar home in the morning.

Day 1: Travel
Day 2: Park
Day 3: Park
Day 4: Home
Doing it this way meant we weren’t arriving at the park after a day of travel and didn’t have to get the Eurostar home after a day in the park.
How many days do you need at Disneyland Paris with young kids?

We had access to both the main park and the studio.
Day one, we spent in the main park, then day two we spent the morning in the Studios, then headed back to the main park for the afternoon.
With young kids at Disney, you won’t be on the big rollercoasters or in huge queues (unless you have very patient young kids). This cuts out a large section of the park. It’s not your time for Space Mountain I’m afraid.

There are lots of rides for the younger crowd, but the thing about Disney at this age, it’s not all about the rides. It’s watching shows, meeting characters, looking in the shops, exploring the walk throughs, sitting down and eating ice creams.
For me, two days was enough. I felt like we did enough rides, explored the park, watched two shows, and even had breakfast with the princesses.

By the end of the final day, I was desperate for some nature. To see some overgrown grass. To smell the fields. As you guess, it’s an overwhelming and overstimulating place. It’s also very fake. If you do more than two days you may need to sit in a dark room for several days, but maybe it depends on the person.

I was pregnant at the time and we had a special pass that gave us the chance to skip queues. If you only have one day in the park (and you’re not pregnant), consider getting the fast track. It’s more expensive, but if you have kids who want to get through as much as possible and you have limited time, or there at a busy time of year, think about if it is worth it for you.
