Woburn Centre Parcs Review

woburn centre parcs review 2025

We decided Centre Parcs was the place for us to spend Easter half term. When we told people we were going to Woburn Centre Parcs in half term, they looked at us like we won the lottery…

Yes, it is more expensive in half term. However, it is cheaper than abroad. Easier than getting three kids on a flight and out the other side. And it’s better than having to think up and pay for activities for five days of the half term. So for me, I thought it was good value.

Where is Woburn Centre Parcs?

You’ll find Centre Parcs in the UK and Europe. We chose Woburn as it is closest to our house. We didn’t fancy a longer car trip for a UK break. At the end of the day, it wouldn’t have mattered if I was 10 minutes down the road or 10 hours. We were out of our house and on holiday.

Woburn Centre Parcs is in Woburn, close to Milton Keynes.

The accommodation at Woburn Centre Parcs

We stayed in a two bedroom lodge. This had a bathroom, ensuite with a toilet and sink, living room, dining area and kitchen. There was also an outside area for BBQs with a table and four chairs.

It was a comfortable stay. Beds were comfy. However, the duvet was loud! So crispy. If you share a room with light sleeping kids, you might want to consider bringing your own duvet cover to replace the noisy one.

The rooms had their own thermostat so you can control the temperature in the lodge. Heating is underfloor, except in the bathroom, so beware if you have heating on and a baby in a floor travel cot as they may get hot in their usual bed clothes.

The TV is Freeview. By the end of the week my kids finally understood that they couldn’t skip adverts or choose what was coming on next… Like the old days.

Swimming at Centre Parcs Woburn

If I was to review Woburn Centre Parcs on swimming only, it would be 10/10. Swimming is so good there. The pool and spaces around feel clean. It’s also really warm. There are places poolside to grab a coffee and bite to eat. I even saw someone drinking a beer. You can really unlock holiday mode in this subtropical paradise.

TIP: We went swimming at about 5pm each day as we found this to be nice and quiet. Kids spent 90 minutes in the pool then we got them in their PJs and straight home to bed. This worked really well with young kids as we keep to bedtimes (even on holiday or we pay for it the next day). Dinner at lunchtime, snack at 4, toast before bed. Perfect.

Eating out at Centre Parcs Woburn

There are a few restaurants on site: a sports bar, Mexican, Italian, French, and texan. You can also get Thai take out to your lodge.

We ate at the Italian (Almalfi), Texan (Huck’s), and Mexican.

The kids menu’s were often £10 for two or three courses. At the Italian the kids had garlic bread, pizza and ice cream. They played really well in the soft play area here, too. The soft play bit was just soft blocks, but good enough for a three and five year old. They do a drink and a pizza for £10, too.

We had two kids meals, a starter, two mains, a side, two beers and two cocktails. The price was about £120. It’s not cheap…

We ate lunch at the Mexican. It was horrible. I really wouldn’t recommend it. I was also ill shortly after with sickness which I put down to their pre made up burritos. Ruined a whole day of holiday and cost us £80. Rubbish soft play area too. AVOID.

Final day, we ate at Huck’s. The girls had a £10 meal deal or main and a pud. Matt had pork belly. I had a potato (was still feeling ill!). This came to around £80 — but I only had a side. We’ve eaten here before when I was well and the food was really good. Great service. And a big softplay that will keep them busier for longer than some of the others.

Eating in at Woburn Centre Parcs

Eating in at Woburn is a great way to save some money. There is all the cooking facilities you could need, plus a BBQ. When we go again, I think we will just eat out once. I’ll make things like big spagbol and pizzas. Picnics too.

Activities at Woburn Centre Parcs

It was Easter when we visited for this Woburn Centre Parcs review, so our activities were Easter themed. We decorated eggs (45 mins for £12.50 per egg). There was also an egg hunt, ballet classes, cupcake decorating, science workshop.

We found enough to do just scooting and walking around without splashing out on the extras. You could spend a fortune on these things, but if you’re watching the money while you’re there, you won’t miss them. Organised fun isn’t always that fun after all.

Woburn Centre Parcs Review — final thoughts

We loved our time at Woburn Centre Parcs. Here’s a quick look at why:

  • Car free
  • Scooter and pushchair friendly
  • Swimming is fantastic
  • Rooms are comfortable
  • Soft plays
  • Parks
  • Friendly staff (One gave me 3 cream eggs!)

TIP: When you drop the car back on the Monday, take a kids scooter with you and ride it home. It was so fun!
