My girls love a yorkie. It’s basically pudding. Pop a sausage in it and you’ve got yourself a meal.
A mini toad in the hole is super easy to make and fun for the kids to eat. Touch wood, it’s not gone wrong yet…
I serve it up with veggies and sometimes potatoes if everyone is really hungry.

Recipe for mini toad in the hole
- Frozen cocktail sausages
- 100g plain flour
- 3 large free-range eggs
- 225ml milk
- 4 tbsp oil
You’ll need a muffin tin for this one.

Method for mini toad in the hole.
- Preheat the oven to 200C
- Whisk together flour, milk and eggs until you have a batter
- Pour a dash of oil in each muffin tin
- Heat the muffin tin in the oven for 5 minutes
- Pour a large tablespoon of batter in each tin
- Pop a frozen sausage in the centre
- Cook for 25/30 minutes until the yorkshires have risen and the sausage is cooked through
Serve up with veggies and gravy.
